The girl had no legal access to abortion in Pennsylvania, where her parents must consent.  This is the direct consequence of anti-choice zealots: taking away what dignity, respect, and alternatives left were left to a 13 year old who is being controlled, manipulated, and raped by someone more than twice her age.  Way to go “pro-lifers”, what an awesome accomplishment: empowering rapists like Michael Lisk over 13 year old girls, leading her to desperately jab herself with a pencil.

the irony of pro-life is that it’s actually pro-death. let me elaborate…

unless you can erase all human knowledge of abortion, it will exist.

if you did somehow manage to erase all human knowledge, it would be discovered again. if not through the fact that the rest of our knowledge is too advanced to not rediscover it within maybe an hour, it would become obvious that not carrying a baby for nine months and giving birth to it is an option as soon as the first woman miscarried naturally.

taking away the safest possible situation for it to occur in isn’t going to stop it. it’s not saving the lives of unborn children, it’s endangering the lives of the women carrying them. how many of those women could end up dead from some desperate, dangerous attempt to have an abortion?

pro-life folks can’t seem to logic, not just for what i said above - the whole obvious fact that making something illegal does not stop it from happening - but also because…how can you say you care so much about life that you want to save every single potential life, yet at the same time you are fighting for the suffering, and perhaps even death, of people already here?

you shouldn’t even call yourselves pro-life, because you’re not. you’re pro-oppression, pro-suffering, and pro-ignorance.

why is the potential of life more sacred than those actually alive right now?

so don’t fucking tell me you care about life.

that, in a nutshell, is proof of why pro-life is wrong, and pro-choice is right. you don’t even need to bring anything else into it, because even with absolutely every other point aside, from both sides, logic proves it. simple logic.
